- Why should we use more than one label or tag to describe the same piece of information?
- Why is Creative Commons licensing an important development for sharing digital information?
- Would you allow others to use your photos?
- What licenses would you apply and why?
1.many objects can be identifyed as many other things.
ReplyDelete2.because people put many diffrent things on bloggs and people maid restrictions so their was rules.
3. yes i would i want to be known.
4. i would apply a freedom licens because if people put things on the web ,that means many othor people are able to see
We should use more than one label or tag to describe the same piece of information so that other people can find it easier, because everyone thinks differently. Creative Commons licensing is an important development for sharing digital information because it lets people know exactly what the creator of the work will allow instead of guessing and possibly getting in trouble. I would allow others to use my photos if they weren't of me, and I would want to have credit for them. I would apply attribution, and sharealike because I want credit for it, but I also want people to see it. Depending on the picture it might also be under no derivatives.
ReplyDelete1. So people have a btter chance of viewing your photo.
ReplyDelete2.It maximizes digital creativity and sharing while protecting your work.
3.Yes, i would others to use my photo
4.I would apply the "All Right Reserved" license because i would not like others using my photos without my permission.
You should use more than one label or tag to describe something because then it will show up on more searches and more people will be able to view it. Creative Commons is an important developement for sharing digital information because many times you don't mind if others use your work but you would like to set certain restrictions and Creative Commons helps you make those restrictions clear. I would probably let others use my photos as long as they weren't personal family photos. I would however apply attribution and non-commercialas licenses because it was my work and I deserve the credit for it and because they shouldn't be making money off something that I did.
ReplyDelete1. so we rember it easier
ReplyDelete2. its easier to use then most
3. yes
4. none because i like to share.
1. so that people have a better chance of seeing your pic of video.
ReplyDelete2.it maximizes digital creativity and sharing while protecting your work
3. Yes, i would allow others to use my photo
4. I would apply the "all right reserved" because i would not like other people would take my credit for the pic.
1. We should use more than one label or tag to describe the same piece of information because it makes the information easier to find and helps better describe what it is.
ReplyDelete2. Creative Commons licensing is an important development for sharing digital information because it let's others know what they legally can or cannot do with that particular information. Also, it allows the owner of the information to decide exactly what they wish to allow people to do with it, and make it clear to others.
3. It would depend on the photo. If it was a photo of my work, or something I had created, such as a painting, poem, etc. then I probably would not let others use it and if I did, I would make them give attribution. If it was a picture of myself, my friends, or my family, I would not let others use it. If it was a picture of a sunset, a beach, or something like that, I most likely would allow others to use my photos.
4. Again, it depends on the photo. On photos of myself, friends, and family I would have all rights reserved because I do not see a reason anyone would have to need a photo of my friends and I. If it was something I created, I would apply attribution, no derives, and non-commercial. If it was a photo of something such as a beach, sunset, etc. I would apply attribution to me for taking the photo, no derives, and non-commercial also.
It is important to use more than one label or tag to decribe the same piece of information because it could be described in more than one way for other people. The Creative Commons licensing is important for sharing because some people might not want you to use their pictures, but others could want you to and have you atleast give them credit and such. I would allow others to use my photos so other's could use it. I would apply the attribution so they would give me credit for my photos.
ReplyDelete1.so we know how to use diffrent types of thing for that piece. 2.so we know what the rules are of everything and so we dont breake any laws. 3. yeas because its not a big deal to me. 4. i would chose Attribution because i would want others to be able to use my work but i would also know that i am getting all the credit for it.

ReplyDelete1. To identify the item you are looking for more easier to find.
ReplyDelete2. I don't know I was absent.
3. Yes if they were not personal.
4. I don't know I was absent.
You should use more than one label or tag to describe the same piece of information so that it shows up in all of the catagories it belongs in. When someone searches for a certain type of photo, yours could be related to their topic but it won't be displayed if you don't have it tagged. Creative Commons lincensing is important because some people want to share their photos and let others use them without being bothered with people asking for their permission all the time. Yes, I would allow others to use my photos. I would apply an Attribution-NoDerivs license because I want credit for the picture I took and I dont want any changes made to my image.
ReplyDeleteWe use more then one tag because it help people understand what in the picture and sometimes people can tag stuff inthe the picture that u havent seen.I think creative common licensing is important becouse if their someting nice that u want credit for then ur able to do that.If i had a photo that i really like and wanted credit for then i woould put a copyright on but if i had a average photo i wouldnt really care.If i had to pick a licenses i would pick Attribution-NoDerivs as long as the dont change anything and they credit you its fine.
ReplyDeleteWe should use 1 or more tags becasue not everybody is going to be searching the same word or words. It gives you the ability to have a copyright license that is customizable to what you want it as. Yes, it just depends ont he photo becasue I'm not going to have some creep have a photo of my family or friends but if it was a car or somethign sure no prbolem they can use it. The licenses i would use are the attribution license and the share-alike license becasue i want somebody to sher the photo and it might become popular but have it so they can't alter the photo.
ReplyDelete1. That way when you want to find it, you can find it easily, and other people can also.
ReplyDelete2. It is important because some people care if people use their stuff, and the things they do with it so creative commons helps protect the work they worked so hard on. It also gives them the option to let other people use, and ways they can use it. It stops people from stealing other peoples work.
3. It depends on what photos they were, but I wouldn't want them to change them in any way or take credit for my things.
4. I would apply Attribution-Noncommercial-NoDerivs
1)We should use more than one tag because it makes it easier for the photo to be found.
ReplyDelete2)Creative commons licensing is important because people spend a lot of time and put hard work into their art; with creative commons it helps to protect their work and makes sure they get the credit that they're entitled to.
3) I would allow others to use my photos but I would make they give me the credit that I deserve.
4)The license I would apply is Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs
We should use more than one tag or label for the same piece of information because it helps describe what we the piece of information is about and if others are looking for something similar to the piece of information we have, it will be easier to find when you search for it. Creative Commons licensing is important for sharing digital information because it shows what another person can do with your upload, and what you can do with another persons work. I personally would not allow others to use my photos because I do not know the person personally and there are many bad things you can do with the photos. The licenses I would apply for are the no derivative works, non-commercial license, and the attribution license because with these licenses it protects myself, and others may not become known for something that isn't theirs.
ReplyDelete1. I think that is inmportant because the same piece of information could be the same thing so you will be able to find the picture that you want.
ReplyDelete2. Creative Commomns is important because it allows you control over the things you post, so that you get credit for th work that you did.
3. I wouldn't let them use them if I had a choice because the pictures are of my family, why would I want someone else to have them when I don't know them?
4. I would use the Attribution license if i posted something, because if you use Attribution then they get to use my work but they have to give me credit for the original.
We should use more than one tag to describe the same piece of information because it further describes the image and helps people who are searching for specific things so that they dont have to do a general search just to find one thing.Creative Commons is an important development for sharing digital information because it allows the owner of something to share it but under the limitations that they choose. For example, I might have an expensive picture but I still want to share it with the world, then I could use creative commons to let people view that picture without having to contact me and I could also make it noncommercial so that nobody can make a profit off of it. If I put a photo out there, I would allow others to use it, but would apply the attribution and noncommercial licenses to it because I would want to be credited for my work and if anybody is making money off of my work, it should be me.
ReplyDelete1) Because pictures have more than just one piece of information about them. They cover a broad variety of things, so using more than one tag for it helps expand the meaning of or what the picture is.
ReplyDelete2) Creative commons is important because it gives us control over the photos we post, but still allow availability to others over the internet-with restrictions.
3) I would allow somebody to add them to a gallery like what we did on Flickr today. Only certain photos though. I don't want someone using or re-posting pictures of me, my family, or friends.
4) I would allow others to copy and use my work, but I wouldn't let them derive off of it.
1. so you no what it is without the picture and if you looked it up it has more than one name.
ReplyDelete2. because if someone doesnt want there work to be shared they can make it so it cant be
3. yes, because it really dont matter.
4. i would apply none becuase i dont care if people use my
work or not.
1. We should use more than one label or tag so that way the information is easier to find by narrowing down the search.
ReplyDelete2. Creatvie Commons licensing is an important development for sharing digital information because it makes it harder for people to steal your work and it lets people know what you'll let them do with it.
3. It depends on the kind of pictures that I have. If it was a picture of my friends, family, or myself I would only share them with the people that I know, but if the pictures were something for a school project or something that I thought looked cool and took a picture of it then I would share it with everyone.
4. If I did share my pictures with people then I would probably use Attribution-NonCommercial because I want peole to be able to build on it and do work with it, but since I took the picture I would want credit and I wouldn't want them to sell it and make money off of something I did.
1. so that when you search for something you get exactly what you are searching for.
ReplyDelete2. It maximizes digital creativity and sharing while protecting your work.
3. yes I would
4.I would apply the "all right reserved" because i would not like other people would take my credit for the pic.
we should put more tags on things because it might have more pieces of information that people would need to know.Creative commons is a great way to protect your work,so that people cant steal your work.i wouldnt let others use my photos because if its pictures of my friends and family then no cause thats my property.I would apply all rights reserved.
ReplyDeleteAs I was looking at the class blog I saw this post and realized I must have been absent the day we did this.
ReplyDeleteWe should put more than one tag on things so that it is easier to find and more people would more likely be able to find it. The Creative Commons licensing is important for sharing because some people may not want you to use their pictures, and the ones that will allow you to use their pictures, this ensures that people will not steal their work and take credit for them. I think that it would depend on the photos people are using of mine whether or not I would let people use my pictures. If they are personal photos I would not let people use them, but they were scenery pictures I would not mind. I would use the noncommercial license so that no one could make money off of my work.
